100th Birthday Celebration!!

Nothing is more special than a 100th birthday party. Mr. Gene Walker has managed to knock out a century and is still going strong! He drove he and his wife to his 100th Birthday on Saturday and I got to be a part of this special day! Mr. Walker has been around during the happiest and the saddest of times in this old world and he has seen his second and third generation and more than anyone I know. I sat and talked with him a little while and he was so interesting to talk with. He told me of how he used to harvest his own crops and take care of his neighbors and watch their cows. There were no fences, only boundaries so there was always work to be done shuffling livestock back to its rightful owner. He was as sharp as a tac and I really enjoyed talking to him.
His sweet daughter, Mary Catherine Holley planned this big event and for the very first time ever, had the entire family together at once. She and her husband, John have three boys and they all have beautiful wives and adorable children! They are all so blessed! It was a really special day!

Thank you Robert for your service to our Country! It is GREATLY appreciated!! May God watch over you and protect you until you get back home safe to your precious wife and son!

This little guy has my heart! Is he a sweetheart or what?!? Everytime he looked at me, it was with an "
adorable, melt my heart" smile!! Thank you Sawyer! And in the photo below are Sawyer and Justice, first cousins! Love those names and they both had the biggest, bluest eyes!

Happy 100th Birthday Mr. Walker!! It was a pleasure meeting you and your wonderful family! May you have many more healthy and happy years!!

Sloan-Seniors 2010

I think I mentioned how much I love shooting Seniors! Well, Miss Sloan is no exception with those big blues eyes!! How could I get a bad picture of her?!?! I met Sloan, her Mom Sherre and her boyfriend Justin last Sunday. We had a great time and think I captured her personality in her pictures. Good luck to you Sloan and may you have a fun and successful Senior Year!!

Forsan Cheerleaders!

Hali, a Forsan HS Cheerleader contacted me last week to get some "different" cheerleading pictures! I was up for that! I love different! So I told her to bring their shorts and boots and we'd figure something out! I think we got it! These girls are all just beautiful and I had the best time ever with them. They kept me laughing and made me miss these cheer times with my daughter when she was in high school.
It rained on us for the first fifteen minutes of the shoot but stopped long enough for us to get what we needed! In this picture I told them to act silly and be theirselves and this is what I got!

We had MANY spectators for this picture!
Hali, Shelby J, Kelsey, Erica, Shelby C and Kevy, it was a pleasure meeting every single one of you and I hope to shoot your Senior Portraits! You are all beautiful! I hope you have a great cheer season! Go Buffs!!

Joel and Lisa Garza Family

I was contacted by Joel & Lisa Garza to take some family portraits and to also get some shots of their beautiful adopted daughters, Maegan and Makayla Grace. They are beautiful girls and Joel and Lisa were so nice to talk with. This little rocking chair that Maegan is sitting in is pretty special to me. It was given to me when I was 2 years old by my Pappy! I'm going to give it to Paislee, my unborn granddaughter! I can't wait to get some pictures of her in it. Anyway, thank you Maegan for being such a good little model! What a pretty smile!

Makayla is 11 months old so this is her one year portrait! I could NOT get this child to smile for me! HeHe! Lisa says she does smile but I didn't get to see it on this day. Maybe another day!

Thank you Joel & Lisa for selecting me to take your family portraits!

Heather Maddox Family

Heather Maddox contacted me last week to take family portraits for her. She told me that she had been in a horrific accident and left in a wheel chair for the last 5 months and this was a "coming out" shoot, a "make me feel pretty" shoot, so I was glad to help out! She is now out of the wheel chair and doing great! She is such a sweet person and has such a great relationship with every single one of her kiddos. They were a fun bunch and we got some great shots! Look at these pretty kids!

The fun jump picture! Lovin' Brooke's legs in this one!

Heather, it was so nice meeting you and your kids. I really enjoyed it! Thanks so much!

Seniors 2010-Book Now!

I’m so excited for this years crop of senior’s…..I’ve forgotten how much fun they are to shoot. Plus I love getting a little time to just talk to these kids and hear about what they all have planned for their future. This is Kylie and as you can see, she is gorgeous! I just had to post her pictures using the new template I got from Posh Prints & Design. I include this template so you can use this as your graduation invitation. I can personalize it and use the pictures you like the best. Let me know if I can get a Senior you know scheduled soon!

Jessyca's Belly Bump

A family picture of their boots. Daddy, Mama and Paislee!
For my regular blog readers, you probably know that this is my baby girl, Jessyca and her wonderful husband Brionne. They are expecting my first grandchild and I am elated!! It's a girl and her name is Paislee! Not only is she my first grandchild but she is due on my birthday in December!! That's double excitement!! So they came to San Antonio for belly bump pictures and I think we got some really good ones!

She has craved grapes since the beginning so we thought this picture was appropriate! Hope you enjoyed these pictures as much as I did! I can't wait to meet my granddaughter!!
